Athena's Sanctuary 0.1.0 - The Jobs and XP Update #

Hi! I've seen a few friends join the server! This leaves me even more excited to bring you all the newest updates to the server.

The current server address is : mc.andieadorable.gay

First off, permissions and economy are in the works for the server. I want this place to run smoothly, and be a fun place that rewards playing no matter your playstyle. Over the next week or two, I will be sorting out player permissions, and making sure that everyone can access all the neat stuff I have been adding to the server.

I also want to take a moment to highlight the newest server admin for the Athena's Sanctuary. Lyra, of CallMeLyra fame, is taking a role as an admin on the server in case I am not around to deal with something immedately. I expect you all will give her a warm welcome, and thank her for all the food she has been providing the server.

Now onto the the patch notes.

Major Changes #

• [Server] Updated to 1.19.1 #

  Please Update your current version of minecraft, this update is a bit controversal within the community, I am leaving it on because I didn't configure the chat private key properly and it won't communicate profanity bans back to Mojang. So the biggest concern of false bans is eleviated.

• [Plugins] ImprovedJobs #

  I wanted progression on the server to match up with the goal of allowing all players to have a good time. ImprovedJobs5 is a great core plugin that allows all users to pick one or multiple jobs, and upgrade their profession with benefits. There is a lot of things to bring up here when it comes to what this plugin can do. Currently a sign post exists at spawn where players can interact and grab the jobs they want, and once permissions are fully converted (more below) players will be able to change jobs with a command or GUI selection.

• [Plugin] mcMMO added #

  This plugin includes several skills like acrobatics, mining, farming, cooking and many more. It intergrates with ImprovedJobs and the other XP focused plugins added currently on the server, so the leveling up will be in tandem, and allow players to level many different skills while on the server. If certain abuse or issues arise with XP leveling, admins reserve the right during this update and the next 0.2.0 to modify xp gains for certain professions.

Minor Changes #

• [Plugin] CoreProtect #

World Griefing Protection - might be swapped with worldguard in a future update, really only a concern for the admins, but again, no griefing is in place.

• [Plugin] DeluxeMenus #

For custom GUI/menus to QoL a lot of the plugin obscurity in an easy way for the player.

• [Plugin] Essentials #

Makes the admins lives easier, and allows for kits + homes to be set. Along with storage and item ownership, and a pretty chat.

• [Plugin] Harbor #

Allows the server to skip night as long as around half of all players are in beds, nice QoL feature

• [Plugin] ImprovedJobs #

Chosing a profession at spawn or through the chat box option coming soon will allow players to gain XP and certain abilities through

Administrative plugin for permissions server wide

• [Plugin] mcMMO Premium #

  A fullfledged minecraft mmo plugin that features XP, skills, economy intergration and more.

• [Plugin] PlaceholderAPI #

Responsible for the future signboards and leaderboards for the server, a plugin that allows admins to use placeholder text to be contextual per player.

Another Admin only plugin that will allow for rollback and modification of the gameworld.
